ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL

The Administrative Council is the governing body of the church
and is made up of the team leaders of the various Committees.
TRUSTEES
Contact: Ken Mosteiro
Trustees are charged with the challenge of looking after the
physical well being of the buildings and property. Trustees are
the officers of the church.
FINANCE
Contact: Keith Heart
This committee is entrusted with the business of the church.
They prepare the annual budget and make decisions that affect
the maintenance, upkeep, payroll, purchases, etc.
PRESCHOOL
Contact: School Board Chairperson: Joy McCurdy
Contact: School Director: Jessica Velez
The preschool is open year round and offers childcare and
education to children from three months to age four in
preparation for Kidergarten. Aftercare and camp programs are
available for elementary school aged children. Pick-ups are
available from Hollywood Hills Elementary and Sheridan Hills
Elementary schools.
SCHOLARSHIP

The Scholarship Committee makes decisions on distributions of
funds from the Harriet Kaebnik Endowment to students planning to
further their education. Applications are available April 15th
and are reviewed annually.
COMMUNION
Contact: Muriel Savery
Communion Stewards are needed the first Sunday of every month
and on special holidays throughout the year. Volunteers are
always needed.
LAY LEADERS

This ministry is dedicated to keeping the 'big picture' before
the congregation
SNOWFEST
Contact: Cindy Petryszak
30 Tons of free snow highlight our annual church carnival. Held
annually from 9:00 - 4:00 on the first Saturday in December.
Games, rides, arts & crafts, model train displays, and much
more.
PUMPKIN PATCH
Contact: Ginger Denise
This annual event runs during the month of October to sell
pumpkins to the community. Children from other schools are
invited for games, stories, crafts, refreshments and pumpkins
throughout the month.
CONFIRMATION
Contact: Nancy Kelley
Confirmation class is a nine-month study for children in 6th
grade or older. Its special curriculum gives an overview of the
United Methodist Church and their personal relationship with
Jesus in preparation for membership. They are confirmed on
Pentecost Sunday. During this study, the children do skits,
have a lock-in, take a faith walk and have prayer. These
children also make a commitment to the Acolyte program.
PRAYER

A prayer chain is maintained to help persons with sudden or
unexpected emergencies or events in their lives.
DISCIPLESHIP
Contact: John Petryszk
An intense Bible study program requiring a commitment from the
participants. There are four levels of learning, each level
lasting nine months. Classes generally begin in September.

Builds and runs powerpoint on the screens for Sunday morning
services and special events.

Traditional Service: 8:15 and 11:00 am

MEMBERSHIP

We welcome all who wish to be a part of the fellowship of our
church. Our members are committed to supporting Christ's
ministry in this congregation by their prayers, their presence,
their gifts, and their service. Information classes are
scheduled several times a year.
OUTREACH
Contact: Helping Souls: Lamia Lee
The Helping Souls pantry is available to anyone in need of
food. It is open on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon.
SENIOR MINISTRIES
Contact: Mary Kate Corbyons
This ministry is open to all who are looking to enrich their
lives through spiritual, physical, and social events of
fellowship, fun and service. Daytime and evening activities are
planned throughout every month. Monthly activities are open to
all and information is in the newsletter and weekly
announcements in the church bulletin.
MUSIC

The Chancel Choir is open to all adult singers. Rehearsals are
Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room (224), second
floor above the church office.

This group is open to singers and instrumentalists who wish to
lead the congregation at the Contemporary Worship Service.
Rehearsals are Saturday mornings, 10:00 am - Noon in the
Sanctuary.

The Wesley Ringers are a dedicated group who participate in
worship several times throughout the year. Rehearsals are
Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 in the Choir Room (224).
WORSHIP HELPERS

Volunteers are always appreciated for this most important part
of our image on Sunday mornings.

Volunteers are always in demand for participants at all worship
services and all events held in the sanctuary.

These children are an integral and important part of worship.
WORSHIP ARTS
Contact: Christie Deminico
Worship Arts includes Chancel Choir, Children's Church, Puppet
Ministry, Drama, Contemporary Praise and Worship, Sound and
Media, Bells and Spiritual Dance. This is a new ministry
designed to enhance worship by including and combining the
various activities and developing cohesive teams to work
together to achieve excellence.
CHILDREN

A fully staffed nursery is provided from 9:30 am to Noon on
Sundays for infants through age 2. Children's Church and Sunday
School classes are from 9:30 to 11:00. Vacation Bible School is
every summer at the close of the regular school year.
YOUTH

This program provides fellowship, fun, music, and recreation.
Opportunities to explore relevant concerns. Activities and
service projects designed to help participants in their walk
with Christ in today's world. Activities include and overnight
trip to Orlando, concerts, camps, lock-ins, mission projects,
field trips and summer recreation.
ADULTS

There are four Sunday morning adult classes at 9:45 am that
provide a variety of study and discussion for anyone seeking a
closer walk with God through discussion, Bible study, and timely
topics.
